Federal Government Reacts To Transparency International’s New Ranking On Nigeria

The Transparency International in its new ranking, placed Nigeria at 146 out of the 180 countries on the 2019 corruption perception index.

The Nigerian Government in its reaction to the new index reveals that transparency International claim on this has no evidence to back there claims.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in an interview earlier this morning said TI’s report had no bearing on reality.

He further explained that we have been doing well “In terms of our fight against corruption, we have done more and we will continue to do more out of inherent conviction.

We are devoid of any extraneous considerations relating to the rating by Transparency International
