Court Discharge And Acquits Former Oyo Chief Whip, 3 Others Suspect Linked To The Death Of Ex-Reps Member Olatoye Sugar

Four people, among whom are Akinmoyede, a former Chief Whip in the state House of Assembly and your other people who were linked to the murder of former housemate of representative member, who represented the constituency till he died Hon. Olatoye Sugar.

A former lawmaker representing Lagelu state constituency, Honourable Akinmoyede Olafioye, who stood trial for the murder of a former member of House of Representatives in Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency, Honourable Temitope Olatoye has discharged and acquitted by High Court sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Yesterday January 23,2020.

Recall that the deceased at time of death was 47 and was shot in Laluponarea of Ibadan Oyo State capital after casting his vote in March 9,2019 gubernatorial election and state Assembly elections.

Rafiu Adebayo, Rasheed Oladele, Kazeem Ayinde who stood trial for the killing along with Akinmoyede were also discharged and acquitted.

Akinmoyede thank God and said he has been by God over the allegation levelled against him on the death of Olatoye.

The truth has finally prevailed with the court’s verdict that acquitted and discharged him,he added.

He advised the people to support the present administration under the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to achieve all his promise.
